Why Hire Steimle Birschbach Law
We get it. Lawyers are usually thought of as expensive, arrogant, and perhaps not very friendly. At SB Law, nothing could be further from the truth. We believe the most successful attorney-client relationships are based on trust, compatibility, and communication.
While we have a tremendous amount of experience and we like to think we are pretty good at what we do, we also think we are a very approachable, pragmatic, and down-to-earth group. Our business model involves retaining our clients for life. While opposing counsel may not always like us, we are pretty sure you will.
The SB Law Philosophy
- We take very seriously the trust you place in us to assist you with your legal matters. We do not discuss your matters with anyone outside of our firm, unless you instruct us to do so. At SB Law, client confidentiality is of paramount importance.
- We know that attorney-client communication is extremely important. We will promptly return your telephone calls and emails.
- Our mission is to provide our clients with highly competent legal services, in a language they can understand, at rates substantially lower than our peers in Milwaukee and Chicago. We understand that no one likes to hear or read "legalese" (lawyers included).
- We pride ourselves on collaboration. Our work frequently involves discussions with your other professional advisors – financial advisors, accountants, insurance agents, brokers, among others. Our approach is to listen first, then provide advice. We feel it is most important that you understand our advice, because at the end of the day, we work for you.
- We will always treat you with courtesy and respect. At SB Law, we follow the golden rule – treat others how you would like to be treated.
- There should be no surprises or "sticker shock" when it comes our fees. If we are billing you by-the-hour, you are always welcome to call your attorney and ask where things stand and we will keep you informed. Our goal is that our clients feel that we have provided value in the work we have performed on their behalf.
- We do not nickel-and-dime you. If you call with a 30 second question – frankly, it takes us more time to write down the charge than it is worth. We also do not bill you for (i) long distance telephone calls (does anyone still do this?); (ii) photocopy fees; or (iii) mileage for us to travel to meet with you if within reasonable distances from any of our offices.
